Based in Berlin since 2009, Karsten Schilling is primarily a portrait and business photographer whose main focus is on business portraits, headshots and employee photography for websites and corporate use. Because clients value his calm approach and visual language, he also photographs weddings and engagement sessions from time to time — as an additional service, not his core specialty. I combine studio expertise (natural north light in my Charlottenburg atelier) with mobile, on‑location shooting: relaxed bride and groom portraits, unobtrusive reportage to narrate the day, and engagement photos that work both online and in print. Process and working style mirror my business work: detailed pre‑shoot planning, clear communication about image style and usage, flexible on‑day execution, and straightforward delivery via online gallery. I prioritise a relaxed atmosphere so people feel at ease, and I personally take every picture — you always get the owner/photographer on site.
